This afternoon of poetry and sound explores the lasting legacy of the Beat generation. Members of Alabama Song—Houston- based writers, artists, and musicians—perform original works in the tradition of the artists featured in the exhibition Holy Barbarians: Beat Culture on the West Coast. A limited edition folio inspired by Wallace Berman’s publication Semina will be published for the occasion.
