Member Noontime Talk: Imagining Africa, Early Popular European Representations of a Continent

Join Curator of Collections Paul R. Davis in the museum’s African art galleries for a discussion focusing on the circulation and serial reproduction of imagery representing Africa in European works on paper. We will consider three 17th-18th century prints currently on view in the gallery that depict the rulers of powerful African kingdoms.

Held on Fridays for a small group, Member Noontime Talks make exhibitions more intimate and reveal the collection as never before. To sign up, please RSVP to membership@menil.org. If you are not currently a Menil Member, you can learn more and join here.
