The Menil Archives identifies, preserves, and provides access to institutional records of research value to the Menil Foundation and the Menil Collection. The Menil Archives collections include exhibition history records dating back to 1951; film and media materials; special collections and a small number of artists’ papers; architectural collections; Foundation records; and the papers of John and Dominique de Menil.
The Archives is open to all researchers, subject to reasonable restrictions based on the physical condition of materials, security and confidentiality, and donor restrictions.
Research hours are Monday–Friday, 9:30 a.m.–5 p.m., by appointment only. To schedule a research visit, contact us at archives@menil.org.
